This safe, non-invasive tool helps our veterinarians evaluate almost all of your pet’s internal organs, including their heart, spleen, kidneys, lungs, joints, and even their bones!

Digital radiology is a type of photograph that reveals your pet’s the size and position of your pet’s internal organs, something that is incredibly important whenever performing any kind of surgical procedure. Digital radiology can be used to diagnose a number of conditions including bladder stones, broken bones, arthritis, spinal cord disease, and much more.

Ultrasound

An ultrasound is a high-frequency sound wave that gives our veterinarians a real-time image of your pet’s internal system. These high-frequency images allow our veterinarians to get a look at how your pet’s organs are functioning at the time of the ultrasound.

At Giles County Animal Hospital, our veterinarians utilize this diagnostic tool to diagnose a variety of conditions. Ultrasounds allow our veterinarians to see your pet’s spleen, heart, lungs, abdomen, kidneys, lymph nodes, liver, and much more! If your pet happens to be pregnant, our veterinarians can visualize the heart rate of your pet’s puppies or kittens, and ensure that proper development is happening.
