Pet Laser Therapy

At Giles County Animal Hospital, we utilize therapeutic laser treatments for a variety of medical conditions your pet may face. Therapy laser treatments can heal injuries and open wounds, ease the pain brought on by old age to senior pets, and even provide immediate relief to animals that have incredible pain and discomfort caused by lick granulomas and chronic ear infections. Therapy Laser also reduces post-surgical pain and inflammation and can help your pet’s incision heal faster.

Therapy laser treatments are painless and drug-free. A beam of light from the therapy laser penetrates deep into your pet’s skin tissue without damaging the skin. The laser energy creates a biological response in the cells to reduce pain, promote faster healing, and reduce inflammation. Your pet may feel a lovely bit of soothing warmth and the procedure usually takes only a few minutes.

Therapy laser may be recommended for your pet for:

  • Post-surgical pain reduction
  • To assist in healing wounds more quickly
  • Relieve pain, stiffness associated with arthritic conditions
  • General pain relief
  • Invertebral Disc Disease
