The health benefits that come from spaying or neutering your pet
At Giles County Animal Hospital, we believe that all pets should be spayed or neutered. If you are not a breeder or if you do not intend to breed your pet, it is in your pet’s best interest to be spayed or neutered. Spaying or neutering your pet may improve their life span and better their behavior, as well as reduce their urge to roam in search of a mate and can even reduce the risk of Pyometra, Uterine Cancer, and other cancers of the reproductive system.
At Giles County Animal Hospital, spay and neuter surgeries are considered routine procedures—they are quick, same-day, and you can take your pet home with you at the end of the day. Our staff will instruct you in what to expect from your pet for the days following the procedures, as well as inform you about any pain management medications your pet may require and their instructions.
Please call us today with any questions or concerns with the spay/neuter surgery, or to schedule an appointment with one of our veterinarians.
