Meet our professional Staff
Mandy, Office Manager
I am the Office Manager at Giles County Animal Hospital. I started working here while I was in high school in 2003. Half the time I worked in reception and the other half in the kennels. I have worked in almost every area of the clinic at one point or another throughout the past 16 ½ years. I went to Columbia State Community College and graduated with an Associates in Business. I then attended Athens State University and graduated with my Bachelor’s in Human Resource Management with a minor in Management. I absolutely love the employees of the clinic both past and present. They have become family in more ways than one. What I enjoy most is the love and the care that this clinic has always provided for our clients and patients. I believe that we as a team can not only provide exceptional medical care for our patients but love and support for their families as well. We take pride in our work and want to treat everyone’s pet as our own. My hobbies include reading, cooking, trying new things and spending time with my son, extended family and friends.
I have worked at the Giles County Animal Hospital as the Receptionist since April 2013. I enjoy being part of a nurturing team that takes such pride in the care of animals and their owners. My husband, Stetson, and I like to spend our spare time on the farm, raising horses, trail riding, training, and attending horse shows with our Spotted Saddle Horses.
I am a Licensed Veterinary Medical Technician at Giles County Animal Hospital. I have been employed at Giles County Animal Hospital for 31 years. I started working here soon after graduating from Columbia State Community College. I have enjoyed creating a bond with the clients and patients over the years. Of all the areas that I work in, anesthesia is the area that I enjoy the most. I enjoy boating on the river with my husband and son. We have a dog named "Holley" and several cats.
I graduated from Columbia State Community College Veterinary Technician program in 2004. I have been working part-time at Giles County Animal Hospital since the Spring of 2017. I enjoy the Nursing aspect of Veterinary Medicine. In my spare time, I enjoy spending time with my family.
Kim, Veterinary Assistant
I am a Veterinary Assistant and Inventory Specialist. I started working at Giles County Animal Hospital in the kennels, while I was in high school, 30 years ago. I enjoy helping fellow coworkers throughout our daily tasks. I also enjoy educating clients regarding their pets’ needs and helping them feel welcome. I have made many friends over the years, although my best friend is Mabel, my dachshund. I love spending time with my family during my free time.
Amanda, Veterinary Assistant
I have been working at Giles County Animal Hospital for a little over 15 years now. I originally started in the kennels for the first 7 years and then I moved to the treatment room working as a Veterinary Assistant. I am married and I love to read. I love spending time with my family and animals. I love spending time with my second family (co-workers) outside of work. The best thing about my job is the animals! I love knowing that I helped them get better when they were sick or injured.
Catie, Veterinary Assistant
I have been with Giles County Animal Hospital since September 2011, working mostly in the kennels and in the treatment room. I am happy to help wherever I am needed. This team has become a second family to me, helping me grow in many ways. That is one reason I have worked here so long. When I’m not working at the clinic, you can find me working on my family’s cattle farm and preparing for a new adventure called “motherhood”! I hope you come to visit us at Giles County Animal Hospital, where your special baby’s care is our main priority!
Andrew, Kennel Technician
I am a kennel technician at Giles County Animal Hospital. I have been working here for 6 years. Before that, I volunteered for many years. My favorite thing about this job is getting to help animals and interact with the community. I get to wear many hats in this job, everything from cleaning the facility to helping assist with treatments of patients. Some of my favorite hobbies are playing the guitar, teaching karate, and most importantly being with family and friends. I hope to see you and your beloved animals here!
Makenzie, Kennel Technician
I am a kennel technician at Giles County Animal Hospital. I have been here since the fall of 2019. My favorite work at the clinic is to help in the treatment area by holding animals, and getting medication and vaccines ready. I plan to attend Columbia State in the Veterinary Technician Program in 2020.
I am the Groomer here at Giles County Animal Hospital. I have been with the clinic since October 2018. I have 11 years experience and have enjoyed every aspect and challenge of the job. Outside of the clinic, I enjoy being with my family.
