Digital Radiology

Digital radiology—also known as X-rays—have become a valuable tool in the veterinary community. With the help of this diagnostic tool, our veterinarians are able to get an inside look at what is happening in your pet’s internal system.

This safe, non-invasive tool helps our veterinarians evaluate almost all of your pet’s internal organs, including their heart, spleen, kidneys, lungs, joints, and even their bones!

Digital radiology is a type of photograph that reveals the size and position of your pet’s internal organs, something that is incredibly important whenever performing any kind of surgical procedure. Digital radiology can be used to diagnose a number of conditions including bladder stones, broken bones, arthritis, spinal cord disease, and much more.

Ultrasound

This service is by referral only.

An ultrasound is a high-frequency sound wave that gives our veterinarians a real-time image of your pet’s internal system. These high-frequency images allow our veterinarians to get a look at how your pet’s organs are functioning at the time of the ultrasound.

Giles County Animal Hospital works closely with a diagnostic specialist that we refer our patients to. This service is by appointment only.
