You can rest assured knowing that our veterinarians treat your pet as they would their own—in the most compassionate, caring, and respectful manner.
Surgical Procedures at Giles County Animal Hospital include the following
- Spay & Neuter
- Growth Removal and Tumor Biopsy
- Laceration Repair
- Abdomen Exploratory
- Limited Orthopedic Procedures
Before your pet undergoes any surgical procedure, our veterinarians and staff perform a very thorough examination, as well as run blood tests to ensure that your pet is safe to receive anesthetics. During surgery, our staff members keep a close eye on your pet, continuously monitoring their vital signs, blood pressure, heart rate, temperature, respiratory functions, and oxygen levels to ensure that the procedure goes as planned.
After surgery, our veterinarians and staff members will continue to monitor your pet to ensure that they are behaving normally, and to make sure that he or she is as comfortable as possible. Our veterinarians will prescribe the appropriate pain management medicine (if necessary) and any other medication needed for your pet. Our staff members will instruct you in what to expect in the days following the surgery—behavior, recovery time, medication instructions, etc.
Please call us today to find out more about our surgical procedures or with any questions or concerns regarding your pet’s health and behavior, or to schedule an appointment with one of our veterinarians.
